What most teams look up in their first weeks.
Working with records
Import from CSV or Excel
Import leads, contacts and accounts from a CSV or Excel file using a saved import template, and read the summary of what was added and skipped.
Sales
Lead status and lead stages
The difference between a lead's status and its stage, the default lead pipeline, how to move a lead between stages, and how admins set stages up.
Sales
Convert a lead
Turn a qualified lead into a contact and an account, and optionally a deal, in one step. What is created, what is copied and what happens to the lead.
Automation
Auto-assign leads
Give leads from your web forms an owner straight away, by a set person, in turn, or to whoever has the fewest open leads.
Automation
Email templates
Write ready-made emails once and reuse them when you email a lead, send a quote, or run a flow, with details filled in for each person.
Your first week with Salesfresh
Most teams are up and running within a few days. These six steps, in this order, cover what new admins ask about most, and each one links to a full guide when you want the detail.
1. Set up your company
Create your account and work through the short onboarding: your company name, country, timezone and currency. These settings decide how dates, amounts and reports look for everyone, so it is worth getting them right before anyone else joins. Read the guide
2. Explore with sample data
Not ready to bring in real customers yet? Fill the CRM with demo leads, deals, contacts and activities, click around to see how records connect, then remove all of it in one click when you are done. Read the guide
3. Bring in your existing records
Move leads, contacts and accounts across from a spreadsheet or another tool with a CSV or Excel import. Save the column mapping as an import template so the next file goes in the same way, and read the summary afterwards to see exactly what was added and what was skipped. Read the guide
4. Connect your mailbox
Link Gmail or Outlook so conversations with your leads and contacts appear on their records, and the emails you send from the CRM come from your own address rather than a no-reply one. Read the guide
5. Invite your team and set who sees what
Invite colleagues by email and give each of them a role. Roles decide what a person can do in each module, and data share policies decide whose records they can see, from everyone in the company down to only their own. Read the guide
6. Route new leads automatically
Give every lead from your web forms an owner the moment it arrives: always the same person, each person in turn, or whoever has the fewest open leads. Nobody has to sort the inbox by hand, and no enquiry waits overnight for a reply. Read the guide
Common questions
- Can I try the CRM before adding real customers?
- Yes. Load the sample data to get demo leads, deals, contacts and activities to practise on, then delete them all in one click before you import your own records.
- How do I move my data in from a spreadsheet?
- Use the CSV or Excel import for leads, contacts and accounts. You map your columns once and save that as an import template, and every import ends with a summary of how many rows were added and how many were skipped, as duplicates, invalid rows or rows over your plan limit. Records already in the CRM are skipped rather than changed, so nobody is added twice.
- Which email providers can I connect?
- Gmail and Outlook. Once a mailbox is connected, emails with your leads and contacts show on their records and the messages you send go out from your own address. An admin can choose who in the company is allowed to connect one.
- Can I control who sees which records?
- Yes, at two levels. A role sets what a person can do in each module, such as view, edit or delete. A data share policy sets whose records they can see in that module, from everyone in the company down to only the records they own.
- Can I change my plan or number of users later?
- At any time. You can add or remove seats, move to another plan, switch how often you pay, or cancel and come back later. The plans guide explains what each plan includes and what happens when you reach a limit.
- What if my question is not answered here?
- Search the guides above, or use Contact support below and tell us what you were trying to do. A short description of the screen you were on and what you expected to happen helps us answer in one reply.
