Campaign sources

Set the list of campaigns that bring in deals, such as Google Ads, a webinar or a referral program.

Updated 12 October 2026 · 2 min read

A campaign source says which campaign brought in a deal, such as Google Ads, Webinar or Referral Program.

For example, a software company runs a webinar every month and wants to know how many deals each one brings. They add "October Webinar" as a campaign source. Salespeople pick it on deals from that webinar, and the company can count them later.

Before you start

  • To see the list, you need the View Configurations permission. To add a value, you need Create Configurations. To change one or switch it off, you need Edit Configurations. To delete one, you need Delete Configurations.

If you don't have a permission you need, ask your admin.

Where it's used

The list

Go to Settings > Configurations and click Campaign Sources. You start with 20, such as Email Campaign, Google Ads and Webinar.

The Campaign Sources tab with a row for each value, its sequence and status

Add a value

  1. Click Add Campaign. The Create window opens.
  2. Fill in the fields. Fields marked * must be filled in.
  3. Click Create.

The Create window for campaign sources

FieldWhat to enter
Name *The campaign, up to 100 characters, such as "October Webinar"
Sequence *Its place in the dropdown, from 1 to 100. Lower numbers come first
DescriptionWhen to use it, up to 255 characters

New values show in everyone's dropdowns straight away.

Change, switch off or delete

Click ⋮ on a value:

  • Edit changes it. The window is called Update.
  • Make it Inactive hides it from dropdowns. Records that already use it keep it. Make it Active shows it again.
  • Delete removes it. You can't delete a value that records still use.

Each one asks you to confirm first. See Configurations.

Note

Renaming a value doesn't change records that already use the old name. They keep showing the old name.

A campaign source used by deals can't be deleted.
